Amazon has released a new version of its Fire TV Cube streaming device that can function as a thin client for Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The Fire TV Cube thin client is aimed at businesses with high employee turnover, such as call centers and payment processing centers, where expensive work-issued devices can be difficult to recover.
The thin client runs on the same hardware as the Fire TV Cube entertainment device, including an Arm processor with 8 cores and 2GB of RAM, and both devices run on an Android-based software stack. [ more ]
